Every session follows the same shape: a short warm-up on last week's work, focused teaching on one idea, then independent practice while the tutor works with each child in turn.

How a term runs
From first visit to half-term notes
There is no long sign-up process. You will always know what your child is working on and why.

Placement check
A short chat and a few untimed questions show us where your child feels secure and where they hesitate.

Learning plan
We write down three focus points for the term and share them with you before the first session.

Weekly sessions
The same tutor, the same small group and a short practice sheet to take home each week.

Half-term notes
A written update on each focus point, then a brief conversation at the end of term to plan what comes next.

How do you decide which group my child joins?
The placement check looks at confidence as well as knowledge. We suggest a group, explain why, and you are free to ask for a different time if another group suits your week better.
How many children are in each group?
No more than six. Some groups run with four or five, and we would rather open another group than add a seventh chair.
What happens if my child misses a session?
They receive that week's worksheet and notes. Where there is space, they can join another group at the same stage in the same week.
Do you set homework?
Yes, one short practice sheet each week, usually twenty to thirty minutes. It reinforces the session rather than introducing anything new.
How will I know whether it is working?
You receive written notes at half-term and at the end of term, each tied to the three focus points agreed at the start, plus a short end-of-term conversation with the tutor.
Can my child join partway through a term?
Yes, if a place is free in the right group. We will book a placement check first so they can settle in quickly.
Do you help with entrance tests and exam years?
Thursday's reasoning and entrance group covers verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Exam-year pupils sit one timed practice paper each term and can add the Saturday revision clinic.
